You are not alone! LOL. It's easy to convince my mom to get new animals, but only because she loves them just as much. When my dad comes home, he asks my mom, "Where did those come from?" His question is directed towards me, and I think, "traitor!"

Fed and locked everyone up early by several hours. That bad storm with high winds and several inches of rain was due anytime and I needed to go do my bus route.
Don't want to feed and water in the rain.
Now just hoping we don't lose power, for the 7 little 4 day old EEs in my living room.
And hoping Blade and his friend don't fly out this afternoon.

It was great to come home after route and change to pajamas and slippers! I may have to start feeding/watering early every day!

And I will have 7 little EEs for sale. Realized I was looking at the sexlink thing backwards...

Why are you selling your EEers? Didn't you just get them? What did you mean about the backwards sexlink?

I need your help this isn't chicken related but, these dogs have been rescued, Dachshund / Chihuahua mix (Chiweenie) AKA "Mexican Hotdog" or the "German Taco." mom is the Dachshund and dad the Chicuahua, all dogs are going to get wormed and shots started and updated tomorrow, mom is scheduled to be spayed on the 28th, if you or you know anyone who can give these lovely dogs a home please let me know, they are crate trained and are getting along with my dogs, my dogs are big boys. puppies maybe 4 months old, mom I will know more of an age when the vet checks her out. the boy has more of the chihuahua face and the girl leans towards the dachshund.

I don't have them in a crate I have them in a little room off the bathroom with a gate up and they don't mess, I take them out in the am and when I get home at night, if I'm home then I let them play unleashed in the yard, they do like to chase chickens and cats, but understand the crazy chicken lady when she screams "NO".

I did, but I was thinking female Barred Rock x male Ameraucaa, the ones with dots on their heads were females (5 out of 7) Nope, those are the males.
barred female x solid male, all males will be barred and have the dot on their heads like black sexlinks.

Just don't want to raise 5 more roosters knowing they are roosters, and let Dani get attached. Becky, you met Dani. She goes out every day to talk to the ones we got from you, and would have them in the house if I would let her.

Weather is done now, but was roaring when I got home from work. I can't wait til next week when my birds will have their new pen. I'm excited about no chicken poop on my wooden steps (slippery) or the sidewalk.
I love the birds, but trying to keep hubby happy too.
Bought some chicken nipples, with more coming from eBay, and will be experimenting with those as well next week. Trying to make this easier, at least except for those few freezing nights.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were thinking wrong; I wasn't even sure if I was correct in thinking it would BE a SL cross.. Thought maybe you were taking a chance on it being wrong. At least they were free... heh. Are you keeping the girls?

the low sunday night is supposed to be 29 according to the weather channel app on my phone. They're pretty much usually WRONG on the HIGH side, which means it will more likely be low to mid 20's. Time to get the camper winterized and the water system drained in the coop. good thing it didn't freeze this afternoon, mine would have had their own ice rink
