YO GEORGIANS! :)

The Newnan show is mostly for judging chickens. (You know, like 4-H) but they do have individuals sellng chicks, chickens, hatching eggs ( from their show quality chickens), raffles and auctions for great prizes! They judge Marans and Welsummer eggs. It's amazing to see all the beautiful birds!

Ok, y'all have GOT to check these out.  These are in the BST forum and I am very tempted to get some for GAMjr.   When you look at the ad, she has a link for "more info".  Click it and take a look at the additional pictures.  These have got to be some of the cutest chickens.   https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1082227/tribble-eggs

Did you see the link for the birds he has for sale, Anywhere from 250 to 100 each

No. I only paid attention to the eggs being 5 bucks each.

Good night!! That's a rat. Mr Carcar has been forced to watch the WKC dog show with me last night and tonight.. And I caught him looking up facts about the Irish Wolfhound.. Now THAT'S a dog!!

Omg. My dream dog. For real.

Irish Wolfhounds are sooo cool. I wouldn't mind having another Old English Sheepdog, either. Grew up with those. I think they were my Dad's favorite. Allegedly, the first OESD we had in the late 70s used to belong to the singer for Foghat. Apparenty, the man's wife was taking fling lessons and my Dad was her instructor. They were about to go on tour and couldn't take the dog with them, so she asked if my Dad would take him, knowing he had 2 small kids. He was super cute, I barely remember him, though. Other than the fact that he kept escaping the fence and getting away. Drove my mom nuts.

I was just told by the DH that due to the car situation & the fact he has been fighting a cold (the man rarely gets sick like that) he may be taking today off. He should probably be resting, but you know I'm going to take advantage of the situation and try to convince him that seeing thousands of fancy birds & playing chicken poop bingo is the best way to fight a cold. He will be home for his side job this morning in an hour or so.

Are you going to be there all weekend? I mainly want to go because there are 3 or 4 specific breeds I'm interested in for when we add a few more birds some time this year. I was hoping to use the opportunity to see what they look like in person.

Why is it so hard to find local rir fertile eggs or recently hatched chicks? Am I looking in the wrong area or just blind? Ha

btw checked Craigslist but all I see are adults, mixes or long distance away
