YO GEORGIANS! :)

After building my fancy lil box to block off the incoming air flow, it didn't matter at all, no change what so ever in being able to bump the humidity. AND the box I built was too hot to touch in just a little while, so that's a no go for me, something fall over behind there and burn the place down. So I turned it off and unplugged it. Got up this morning and since I left the water pan inside it, the humidity in it was 94%......

time to take it all back apart and order a heating element to do this thing right

if I had your money, I would. bahahaha

seriously though, I had the scrap sheet metal, took me less than half hour to build that box. will take less than that to take it back apart. The next few days, I'll take it back apart, seal it all up, and have it ready to install the new heating element I just ordered from GQF for less than $20, I'll pick up a couple computer case fans, and get it all installed in just a few minutes. I'll be in this for roughly 1/3 of what a new one would cost.....

I have nothing BUT time, so that's not an issue :)

Honest.. When you add up the $20 here, $40 there you spend tweaking (twerking?) on the small bators it's really not THAT much further to a cabinet.

Small? I thought all of this tweaking (I hate you for the visual your "twerking" comment caused} was on the wine cooler incubator.

Mid Ga (Forsyth and Macon) here!

Look forward to meeting and talking with ya'll )
Welcome to the madness.

yes, the tweaking is on the WCB (wine cooler bator) and once I get the heating unit and fans installed, I shouldn't have to do much else, after all, it's just a big box...... :) and I'll still have way less in it than a new cabinet.

now I'm not saying I wouldn't buy a new cabinet, and maybe I'll have enough success with this one, to sell enough chicks to save up to buy a new one. I don't have that big bank account like carcar and flower do, I can't just go plop down a grand on a new incubator

but my birthday is coming up if anyone wants to buy me one
