Haven't been on a lot lately.  First had my whole family for an early Easter, then had to clean house for renters who came today....at least some of them got here.  There is a group stuck in the Colorado airport because of the huge snow storm that closed down the airport.

I have been hustling getting enough incubators to hatch out all the eggs I have for other people.  I have 3 going now and will add another one tomorrow.  Anyway, also have a man coming Sat or Sun to buy all the chicks (about 30) I have for sale.

Today, Randy started clearing an area for our new coop.  He decided to move the coop away from the house a little bit up the hill and out of an area that gets too wet when it rains hard!  We are going to have a closed in area and two side outside areas that will be predator proof.  Basically, will be double our current size.  The indoor coop area will have a floor up off the ground!  Am real excited about that!  There will be two separate areas so that I can keep my Lavender Ameraucanas and chosen hens separate from the others.  Will also build a duck enclosure so my coop can stay dryer!

Sweet! Can't wait to see!!

Okay...I'm going to bore you folks with some more pictures. My pasture coop is almost ready. I have a heavy duty white tarp arriving tomorrow to finish it. This weekend I hope to have my English BO with 7 of my best American BO one year old hens using it. I'm starting another one without the coop for my chicks as they come out of the brooder.
Once it's in the pasture the wheels come off as it slides and only go back on if it needs to come to the shop for repair or maintenance.
The boards under the roost come out for summer for no mess and go back in the winter with insulation under and covered with shavings.
Any ideas anyone?

man that is awesome! very nicely done!

tried to watch that incubator video, but couldn't handle the music and since there is little to no information on what was done or how, I gave up on it....LOL

So, when I ordered my Lav Ameraucana eggs, I also got a few BCM eggs. At least I thought they were BCM. The hen never grew out any copper in her neck. So, I think I have just the Black Marans. (I looked them up) Lots of green sheen! Anyway, she is getting real red faced and one of my mixes who was hatched with the BM, has started to squat. So, it looks like it is time for some new eggs soon!

My Lav Ameraucana and blue Ameraucana have another month or so in my opinion. But, the rooster has started crowing.
