YO GEORGIANS! :)

Actually, it's not good to breed two frizzles together. It makes their feathers too brittle. You can google that question or go to the frizzle thread on BYC.

^^yep^^ I've heard that too.

Boo! That's no fun! I was worried it might do something like that. Oh well, I guess I have to decide if I want to keep the frizzled girls then. Thanks Flower and CarCar. Y'all are always so informative. :)

Edit! Shoot! I have a little mystery chick from @feathersaloft and I's chick order that I think is a frizzled Cochin, except she keeps loosing feathers. Do you think this is what happened with her?

If you think THAT's cool, catch a load of this:

I was reading on the Cochin thread earlier about frizzle breeding, and whether it matters whether it's the roo or the hens that's frizzle.. And someone suggested it may be better to have the roo as the frizzle, due to the fragile nature of the feathers. I thought that was pretty good!

I think I may seriously have an issue, but maybe not, but I just bought a 17'x20' building for the girls, and it has a little front porch, told DH that I'm gonna put a chicken swing on it, lol, I think he is starting to worry about me. Oh and the best part of my new building, is I get to design it on the inside, now what to do with all that space, besides fill it up with chickens. need layout ideas.

I see no problem with a chicken swing. If I had room for one, I'd already have one installed. Next year...

A guy who bought some chicks from me a few months ago brought back the rooster EE he got. He needed a female that was the same age as the one he was bring back. So I ended up selling him my RIR! So, does anyone have an extra RIR pullet? I had thought to give him my cute little NN girl for a replacement, but he just didn't like the looks of the NN.......poor baby, I think she is adoreable!

There were some RIR for sale on one of the fb sites this week. If I see them again I'll let you know. They were young but juvenile at least.
