OMG I really have worn myself out this season with it. It was a good season though.. Made enough to keep the birds in feed and buy the materials for the next run, plus bought plenty of hatching eggs for myself and went on several family outings.. All thanks to my feather kids.

Congrats!!

We are still hatching small groups since we are working to improve hatch rate. Plus I can sell grown out hens in the fall.

We went deal finding today on the Dixie Hey yard sale.
Found a big fan for the coop (blowing out), and a LG incubator for $10.
Hubby found a weed eater (only thing he was looking for) for $5.

Too hot outside for more looking around though.

thought I'd post a few pics of the fence project, if anyone cares, LOL. yes I'm still working on it. This is how it is when you have days you can barely move. This should have taken me a week, maybe week and a half, and it's now going into week four. but of course I can't stay at it for very long at a time, so now that's it's gotten hot I'm sure wishing I'd been able to finish while it was cooler.

just a few random shots.....

a few more....

the previous owners of the place left several lengths of chain link fence top rail, so me and the mig welder and a roll of fence wire built our own gates. I have a chain to loop through just need to go buy a lock

Papa, that's a lot of work!! Do you have help or do you do it alone! It looks very well done!

taking my time and working mostly alone. Well, me and the tractor and the atv. the dear wife helped the day the board fence was added on, I'd have never been able to do that alone. I appreciate the kind words. I could personally take you around and show you this and that, where it's not exactly straight or some other minor glitch. I think I've done ok for my first time doing fencing...

and I realize that ten years ago before this last injury, I'd have had this done in two weeks or less. I still have much more to do
