YO GEORGIANS! :)

I generally store eggs I'm saving for hatch right on the kitchen counter. There is an AC vent right above them and I really never hatch that many eggs at once. I haven't noticed temps making much of a difference. I just don't even try with anything over 2 weeks old. I use broody hens... so if I don't have a broody they end up being eaten and none are ever bad at that point. I have no place cooler than my house and warmer than the fridge to store them.

I'm about to get an incubator for the first time, so I will be saving lots of them up to fill the incubator. My house is usually about 75-76 degrees. Is this going to affect the hatch rate?

The eggs should be kept moving, when collecting, put in carton and tip carton end up then alternate ends up every so often, to keep the yolks from sticking, I would think this would be more of a problem than the 75-76 temp

But that isn't even that important if you are talking about a couple of days.

X2. They need to be rotated if you are saving them for hatching. I just put them in the turner......not in the incubator and turn the turner on. Then, when I'm ready, I just put the turner in the incubator and there you go!

I have no idea what type of incubator this is going to be. Apparently it has an automatic watering system and a few shelves. Must be a cabinet style. My dad bought them used a couple of years ago and has never even plugged them in. He's supposed to be checking them out for me.
