YO GEORGIANS! :)

Flower's chickens were fat and lazy from getting too many left overs...lol

They particularly liked left over buffalo wings..... Sshhhhhh Don't tell her chickens they aren't really from buffalo.

True. True. And, yes, they had been eating lots of left over chicken, too!

But, yes, the chickens were eating lots of leftovers that our renters left and got too fat and weren't laying.

Just throwing this out.....would anyone be interested in having a picnic/swap at my house this year....maybe in February?

Absolutely! I wouldn't have anything to swap but would love to see what a swap is like for when I get to that point.

On a side note...chickens really look like they're knocking on death's door during the molt...wow! Very appropriate for Halloween...too bad they don't stay up for the trick-or-treaters.

I'm having a hard time finding a reasonable price for an assortment of egg colors near me. I only found one person selling eggs near me and he wants 20$ for 12. Is this normal pricing? I've only purchased a dozen a few times but they were never over 5$. Any ideas?

I already have some brown and white eggs, looking for other (non bantam) colors (blue, green, dark brown, etc.) Would also LOVE some wyandotte eggs.

Thanks for any and all help. :)

Eating eggs or hatching eggs? Makes a very big difference on price.

Hatching  eggs. At the moment, I am storing my eggs for incubation but I don't have much in the variety department.

Hatching eggs can run from 5 bucks a dozen for barnyard mixes to over 100 bucks for rare purebreds. There are some that get even more expensive but not many.
