YO GEORGIANS! :)

Thanks to all for your sympathies. Beau was just such a great pet. DH would hold him and ask him if he loves his daddy. Then DH would put Beau's head against his chest and Beau would keep it there for about 10 seconds. The renters loved it! He was gentle and sweet and regal. Boooo! Why do things like that happen to the good ones???

We found a lady about 20 minutes from my daughter in FL who has hatching eggs (like Beau) and we are going there for Christmas, so we will be picking them up on our way home. Anyone interested in Blue Partridge Brahmas when I hatch them?

Yes I would like one or two

Last chick just hatched. Another Naked Neck! Yay! Here is a pic of one of the cute frizzles I hatched. It is growing out calico colored. I will call it Calico if it is a girl! Please be a girl!

Very pretty! Almost looks like she will be gold laced. Can't wait to see what she looks like when she's grown!

I would love to get some more to raise out but pigs are notorious diggers and way to often I would find them in the "market" area of the garden.

Maybe some KuneKunes? Supposedly they eat grass and don't dig as long as they have grass to eat. Only problem is finding any around here that are not pets and $$$.

All the rain has turned my run from a dust bowl into a mud pit! We definitely needed it, but Yikes! We're talking several inches of mud in some places. I need to do some serious renovation of the run this winter.

Same here! The roof of my run is slanted towards the back so rain won't run on me going in the run..... unfortunately, the back is the uphill side! :( I've either got to build some kind of wall to divert the water around the run or get some gutters up. On a positive note, the chickens don't really seem to mind. :)

Haven't been in fot a while, family issues. One chick hatched out of the hurricane clutch so have named the little guy "Mathew". Have seen and heard a few owls lately but my biggest problem is my neighbor's dog that he lets run loose. It keeps trying to dig into my run and makes it so I can't walk my pibble to check on "his" feathered babies.
How's everyone doing?
