Despite rain & general chaos/events surrounding Gregg Allman's memorial, we got stuff done on the coop. I'm exhausted, feel a cold coming on & am doing my normal "nervous wreck" thing when I first set eggs because I'm just so anxious to candle. Day 3 is tomorrow night around 9:15. No significant items to report... hope all is well with y'all.
 
Katsdar, your new chick is adorable! Ummm, a few of those eggs from the BBQ were bantams. Should I be thinking they may hatch early? Lockdown for the rest of those eggs is Thursday. I think I will fire up my mini bator. I was going to put those CCL eggs in there for hatch anyway.

Oh, I didn't know that they could be not barred! The CCL/welsummer cross OE I have is barred and since my Roo is not that gives me sex linked babies. I thought maybe that would be a good way to tell them apart. Sorry! If you find a way, let me know!
 
It's rainy & gloomy & I feel a cold coming on. Wish I could insert a poll here! Will anyone/everyone who incubates reply with what days they candle? I'm curious & trying to keep myself busy not thinking about these eggs.
