YO GEORGIANS! :)

Daisy went blind a few months ago soon after the rat snake bit her, so I'm sure she had some brain damage. However, after we isolated her, she continued to drink and eat on her own, and she hears well. One thing that she does is almost constantly is rotate her head from left to right. Another thing that she used to do was frequently preen around her neck area, but she quit doing that as much. One thing for sure is that she will never be able to make it on her own. I don't think she's suffering, but she does require a lot of care, and her quality of life isn't on the high end of the scale.
Her and Dixie are together, I go in a few times a day and hold and talk to them...

Tomorrow we start our move, and Saturday is the big move day. I sure hope the rain is over with by Saturday. The biggest headache will be figuring out how to transport a 10x12 portable building to our new location.

There has been some interest in the Ayam Cemani chicks, but no takers just yet. We need these chicks gone. For the price I selling them, someone could easily grow them out a few weeks and triple or quadruple his/her investment. Anyway, this is the last time I'm offering the ACs on here.

(4) Ayam Cemani chicks - sold as lot @ $80 - Aside from a clear/white toenails on a couple of them, they're solid black. Any AC breeder would love to have birds like these.

(2) Little Giant 9300 Styrofoam Incubator w/ turners - @ $75 each

(4) 42" extra-large dog cage - @ $40 each

(1) Bayer Tempo Ultra WP Insecticide (420 grams) plastic jar - @ $50 - Jar is unopened and sealed. This products is GREAT for fly knockdown, is biodegradable, and quickly degrades. It's also safe to use around all poultry.

If interested in any of the above, please PM me.

Not much going on in this thread today. Is there anyone on this thread that shows there chickens. Would kind of like a few pointers on where the shows are in GA. and how often. I've never been to an actual poultry show. I'm thinking about maybe getting into showing but would really like to go to a few first.

There is a Poultry Show in Newnan in February. I guess the first thing to do is download a set of standards for your breed. It will tell you what the judges are looking for in each breed. They are super picky with some breeds...such as a foot feather in a breed that shouldn't have any. Or the sway of a chickens neck and/or back..
You could go to one of the breeder club websites and contact them. They would probably be glad to mentor you! Good luck
