YO GEORGIANS! :)

My showgirl Juju decides she doesn't need a break from motherhood. Every since she started laying it's gone, go broody, hatch some eggs, raise some chicks for a month, go broody. She's decided the cochins are big enough and is broody again. Silly girl. You'd think she'd like a break just to do chicken things.

@Flowerbh Looks like a blast!

@sue25 If you find anything, let me know. I was part of a club that was doing a show, but I decided I didn't much care for the person running it, so that was that. I've read up on the breed standards though and I think I have some decent birds. Just do some searches for breed clubs of whatever breed you want to show and see if they have any shows you can go to.

I am looking to place a small group of White Lace Red cornish. They are young, a group of five. I am not going to utilize them in my breeding program. I swapped eggs with a breeder and her husband mixed some of the eggs, so I know one is purebred, the others may be jubile patterned.
If you would like them, I'm in Valdosta. Not looking for a lot of money, just a good home.

Story time with Kat::

my dog Annie a weinner dog got too close to the female duck Sabatina my male duck Sebastian chased her you saw a little brown spot running for her life getting pecked on the butt by the duck neck stretched out as far as it could go hauling A.... after Annie it was so funny needles to say we have love here, I'm glad those two fell in love. Annie keeps away now!!!!!

Visited Missy today, and I have to say that I'm VERY impressed how the blind Buff Orp pullet and the lame Welsummer pullet have thrived. The blind girl is plumper and walking around just fine, and the lame Welsummer girl is walking even better than when we left her with Missy. They are both happier than clams. Lisa and I were thrilled to see their progress! :love

Hey, an Internet question for your folks who live in rural areas. Although we sleep at the new house we just moved into, we have yet to set up Internet there. We haven't sold our old house yet, so that's where I'm using the Internet now.

The question I have concerns areas where only satellite is available. I know that latency (lag) is an issue since the signal has to bounce off of a satellite before coming back to Earth. We're considering going with Hughsnet. Does anyone use Internet service from this company, and if so, what is your experience and/or recommendation?

We have Xfinity Blast (75 mbps) at the old house, and I know we won't be able to match that speed or even the price per month, but my concern is doing synchronous communication such as teleconferencing with Hughsnet or any other satellite Internet service.

Anyway, if anyone with experience can add their 2¢, it would be appreciated!

We only have satellite available here. Hughsnet was expensive and slow. We use Excede now. Still expensive compared to cable, but better than hughsnet.

I bought a 4G wireless router and use Verizon for my internet. Price is not too bad, can't watch videos unless you like writing big checks. Of course, I'm about a mile from the nearest tower and it's a good line of sight.
If you decide to go cellular, do the research and buy your own router. What I discovered was that the one's sold by the cell companies as hot spots were not very reliable.

My silkie hens went broody again too for the third time already. This time though I tried to break them from it but they won't budge. The rest of the chickens are laying in a.different nest. They have several to choose from but they all end up on the same.one.
