Goat watch is still on. This is day 148. She is a miniature mix and the guy we got her from said to go with the 145 days. Just went to check on her and she is just now starting to show some of the first signs of labor. Talking to herself, rubbing on the wall, looking swollen down there, udders getting full, etc. I will go out and check on her after midnight. Hopefully tomorrow! Will send pics whenever something happens!

Have I missed it? Are their babies yet?

No baby goats yet. Guess the first time I 'saw' them, it didn't take. Hopefully with the full moon coming soon, that will trigger things to happen! She can't be that far from kidding! And the second female is due April 2. Maybe they will both have them by this weekend!

I think I figured it out this.is a chick from one of.my Sizzles and Blue silkie paring. One of the Sizzle hens laid her egg in the wrong pen. It would explain the lacing or baring on the silkie feathering.

I stand corrected this is a little partridge.

Just joined. We live in Rabun Co half way up a mountain overlooking Warwoman Creek. Going up to Franklin, NC tomorrow to look at our first group of pullets. I finished the coop and run today. Jack
