In the Brooder
Hi Georgia Backyard Chicken Folks! I have a beautiful, sweet bantam mottled cochin cockerel that I need to find a good home for! He's about 8.5 weeks old. I'm devastated to lose him, but I'm not allowed to have anything that crows in Athens. His name is Billy and he's so sweet and easy to handle. He's very good about watching after his ladies (takes his job very seriously), and is just a handsome little dude. I love the squeaky little sounds he makes. And so far, he only crows a little in the morning (6-8 times all in a row) and it is hysterical.
I'm looking to send him to a loving home where he will be loved and not eaten, have a dry, predator proof home, and to someone who knows how to properly introduce a new member to their flock. Below is a link to one of my earlier posts that has pictures of him at about 5 weeks old, and I will be happy to share more updated photos (he's starting to look more mottled). Please private message me if you are interested!
