YO GEORGIANS! :)

This might sound weird but any experienced chicken keepers around the Jasper/pickens area willing to mentor a newbie? I'm learning a lot from this site but it would be awesome to have someone nearby that I can actually visit to get hands on learning like how you built/set up/ manage your coop, incubating, extra. Or even a fellow newbie I can learn together with?

I'll jump in on the newbie learning. I'm in Calhoun. I have a flock of 10 plus 3 chicks just out of the inc. and 2 with a broody hen. I spend a lot of time lurking on this site.

Neighbor! We do need to hook up lol. Literally being right around the corner from each other we could combine forces and learn a lot. I'm struggling with coop building right now. I've built a hutch but the more I read and learn I'm concerned I made it to small :(

And awesome foxy! Welcome aboard the newbie train! I honestly have no idea how big my flock is since they are free range and wild, thus the hurry for a coop and run, but I know for sure we have over 10 hens, 4 roosters (two that need new homes), 5 baby chicks running around with their mums, 1 orphan brat of a chicken inside, and two female ducks who are so vicious I saw Charlie the girly duck lay a serious beat down on Dean, the second in command rooster, yesterday.
