YO GEORGIANS! :)

Good news! Hubby is building me a sweet new coop/run combo for the girls.

Bad news: he just informed me my old coop is going to kindling. :( I'm so sad but this isn't the time to argue.. He says it's an "eyesore" but I disagree! Plus I had great plans for a split/double flock setup.. :(

Haha. Actually, NEW idea (A.D.D, yes).. I put it up on CL! Hubby says nobody will want it, then I showed him other coops on there. He just doesn't realize the things we chicken people will use, and I think this coop is very nice compared to a lot of the ads! This way I can split the money with him if it sells and put that toward....

More chickens! Aaahhhhh!!

The Xlg egg was from yesterday and the others were this evening. My RIR Crazy Lucy laid the huge egg and the other brown. My beautiful black EE lays the blues :)
I have a RIR that doesnt lay at all...whats up with that guys? WAIT she laid one small round egg months ago. Since then her comb has gotten larger and slightly darker, but I check her all the time and Notta!

Chickie- what size eggs do EE usually lay? Are they small compared to "store" eggs?

..and what do you mean you "check" her? Pelvis? I don't think my BO is laying but not sure how to figure it out...

My EE has been laying med size eggs but she just started a cpl mos ago. I Check the RI for mucous at the opening and her pelvis for an egg. The opening is like a fold once they start laying, but when ready (emminent) to lay they produce a lg amt of mucous in preparation to pass it.

Well lookie there I done learnt somethin'.. Thanks ;)

Only problem is I didn't raise my BO and therefore she thinks I'm the Debil. This could be interesting LOL
