YO GEORGIANS! :)

It's supposed to snow here in Midwest Ga tomorrow too! Woohooo! We had a good heavy snow two years ago, but last year didn't see much. I just like the change of scenery every now and then :)

\\\never ready for snow and ice on a 20 acre farm with about 300 animals to feed but as ready as we can be, yes we full time farm, spent yesterday trying to get animals out of too much wet. It's a job, we need the rain but oh how mucky! Two baby goats in the house, because they cannot be outside, the baby area is a total mud bath, it would be a pneumonia experience and I don't mind inside but in a few days they will jumpout of their baby crib and run wild, then I mind... It means cahnging their crib linen about 3 x a day.. Okay baby bunnies due momentarialy, iced water bottles due to to be thawed throughout the day in bunny area. Hoping it will not be neceesary to tote 200 gallons of warm water a day as we did in 2010... Okay where's my positive attitude. A little snow, ice okay but really, not too much, the degree of difficulty for a two person farm is enormous...............Any volunteers want to camp over and help. We have plenty of food and feed volunteers well, but it will be operation Challenge!!!! Things I do in this level of rain, snow, muck, boot sticks in mud, face forward fall, oh yea.... my fav is feeding of ducks and full slide - seated toward the duck pond. Don't need to tell you how good I felt after that experience. i don't need thrill rides at a fair or 6 flags... I got plenty here. Come on over for the fun...Seriously! and y'all if you don't already, we have a facebook page - The Garry Farm and also a little blog thing going on..... http://thegarryfarm.blogspot.com feel free to drop by over there from time to time...Now have a graet day. Time to heat the baby goat bottles and psych up for the day. Actually I prefer to think of these days as physical/psychological/spiritual/emotional character builders.....Oh yeah that's oh my yellow stick on my glasses when I fall down...LOL...Now hope y'all and we have a great day and a safe one too!

Leaving for the Jefferson show tomorrow. I see they are supposed to get snow tonight too ! Hope it doesn't stick around. I'm from further south and not experienced in driving in it. If you see a red Ford Taurus stuffed full of chickens spinning around in the road near Jefferson, that will be me !

What a vision! LOL! Let's hope it doesn't come to that though :)
And bargain, if I was closer and not eight months pregnant, I'd be first in line to volunteer for weather proofing the farm! I love animals a little too much, i think.

Be careful on that Jefferson trip, oh my... and we would love to have you visit, but had one volunteer at 8 months and 3 weeks old but she made me very nervous ....Known her for years but told her NOT to have her kid at our farm....LOL.... Well gotta dash back out...Looks like it's about to snow according to weather!
