So, I have a rooster, 24 weeks old, who like to do this duck-like walk when he eats scratch. He literally puts his stomach on the ground, eats what is around him, then without actually getting up to move to another spot, he scoots (like duck walking to humans) to the next spot and eats there. I have never seen this before. He walks fine, he just does this when we throw him scratch! I think I will try to get a video of him! I think it is a lazy way to eat!

I just saw a hawk circling over head. Went out with a huge umbrella and opened it and closed it as I hollered at it. It is gone for now, but I need to keep my eyes open. He has killed 3 of my chicks this past year.

This Feb. I want to hatch Dark Brahmas. Is there anyone near Dawsonville who will have eggs available then?

OMG! That makes me want to come over and watch with you! But tomorrow I have to clean the house because we have renters coming in on Wed! Did any of the Faverolles make it this far?

the first set of them 0/7. I was so mad, good money for nothing. they didn't even start to develop. our others are looking good so far

Don't need another rooster....especially a mean one! LOL! What do you do with a mean rooster, I mean, who would want it....unless you are going to eat him....I am still not able to think about eating any of my chickens.
