YO GEORGIANS! :)

I have both and a brinsea octagon Eco. My new Lg circuit board isn't working anymore. I'll have to order a new circuit board.
DON'T bother with a new circuit board, unless you have a really, really cheap connection somewhere! That's what I was going to do when the silkie spilled water on mine and fried it. But the circuit boards I found online were $29.99 plus shipping! From now until April, TSC has the full incubator on sale for $39.99.

So instead of spending the $10 on shipping, I just bought a whole new 'bator, and now I have spare parts!

Ok. Y'all have given me the bug. I got out the bator today and got it ready. I'm going to throw in some of my Marans eggs. But...I'm looking for some others too. Anybody got some eggs up here in NW GA?

I've got eggs, but I haven't tried hatching any and can't vouch for fertility. My eggs would be mixed breeds though.

I know Christmas is a ways off still, but...

"Do you see what IIII seeeee?" LOL

:weee

Oh god. Now I'm eyeballing the full sized fridge/freezer sitting out in the barn... But it WORKS as a fridge... decisions, decisions! (It was only two years old when I removed it from my house prior to moving out.)

But if I just drilled a tiny hole there... and maybe there... and added a heating element right there...

:gig you got it bad! ;)

how reliable is that LG bator? I can't afford an expensive one, so the price is right up my alley. I may need to wait until next year to buy it though. Do they usually have a sale like this each winter?

The regular price on the LG at TSC is $44.99, so it's $5 off through I think March?

My 37 eggs are still holding steady on temp and I'm keeping humidity between 25% and 35% (if my many hygrometers are right.)

This waiting thing is hard work LOL I'm still afraid they will all die.

Well, mine is forced air with the little giant fan ($35) and I didn't want to mess that up by removing it. So that's like $75 sitting there. So I'll just get a new little thermostat circuit board thing that's only like $32, half the price of what I have in the incubator.

I was all excited about the I incubator deal until I just looked it up. I'm too lazy to hand turn and a Turner is just as much as the incubator.

That farm innovations one looks tempting ... hmmm

I went on Saturday morning and wore my BYC nametag.  Didn't see anyone else with one although one of the vendors said she saw several people with them on.  Wished I could have met some of you!  I got a buff silkie.  My DH said the only way I could get the silkie was if I got rid of one of my other chickens.  hahaha!  I am rehoming that last rooster next week!  I am so thankful to DH for driving 5 hours (round trip) to spend less than 3 hours at the show.  We had to get back early for our new renters this weekend.  This weekend's renters are a high school girls (20 girls) soccer team with their coach and his wife..

I had to work at a run Saturday morning for my Lions Club so it was just after noon when we got there. It is about a 2 hour drive for us. I also had my BYC name tag on and didn't see anyone else. I went to look at the Black silkies. I couldn't tell which one belonged to jharper. I did see lots of beautiful birds. It was well worth the drive.
