At this point, probably any. The pullets I'm getting on April 7th are going to be day-olds (okay probably more like 3 days old, but still). So he won't be needed for a long while anyway. But I'm getting 3 silver polish and 3 buff polish, and now I have no roo to put them with when they finally DO get old enough to breed!

I'm thinking about calling McMurray and telling them to toss another cockerel in there and just go ahead and charge me for it. You're quite a ways north of me (I'm about another 20-30 miles south of @mrsdszoo ) and I don't know if you plan to head down this way again anytime soon, either.

Hey, If you can put in a good word for us to have no rain either, that would be awesome. I have a pole barn to expand, and my water lines are getting run within a week or so :)

With two hens also getting out, he would have stayed around them. I found them pretty quick. So he's definitely gone.

The lack of any evidence is what tells me it was a hawk.
