YO GEORGIANS! :)

Fingers crossed that all my chicks are hens as roosters are illegal in Roswell. I have one neighbor who calls the cops on all sorts of dumb things. Pretty sure she would not appreciate a rooster. ;). She's very rude to all neighbors, so it sort of makes me want to get one just to spite her.

Lol, sounds like the neighbor should be 'rehomed'

When I lived in Woodstock, my neighbor called in a complaint that my dog barked too much DURING THE DAY. Seriously? They had a dog too, which also barked a lot. Got a notice on my door from the police to either stop the barking or get rid of the dog. :rant
I was not happy. I'll never live in a subdivision again. That neighbor complained about everything.

I posted yesterday that we were expecting chicks from MPC to come in this week. Last night I received an email update on the delivery progress that showed the expected delivery date to our Washington USPS for tomorrow at 3pm. Then this morning I got an email update that said they were in Atlanta at 9:23 so they missed the truck to Washington. I called our post master and he tracked them to arrive in Athens at 12:47. Luckily the Athens post office where they delivered them to was right down the road from where my DH works. He took off early and got them for me.

My order was for 13 and I got 12 so..now waiting for MPC to call me back so I can let them know. I'm thinking I'm an EE short. Now to try and tell what the others are...

Order was for:
1 Partridge Cochin female - Check
1 Blue Cochin female-Check
2 Female Buff Orpingtons- Check
1 Blue Male Silkie- well I got a blue silkie not sure if female or male yet
1 Female Dominique- Not sure what the chick should look like
1 Female Delaware- "
1 Female Buckeye- "
2 Female Golden Buff- Umm...Got a lot of yellow fluffy butts in there so maybe
2 Female EE- I can tell "one" chick in the bunch is an EE (chipmunk cheeks)

I have one gold colored chick that has a dark streak going down the center of it head and some markings on its back. ??

Oh! That gives me hope. My coop is probably 150 feet away and at least twice that from my closest neighbor! Yay! Thanks. I feel quite relieved already.
The only reason I know how far the pen sits, is because I can only BARELY stretch the hose out there to reach the gate for their water, and the hose is 100-feet even.

Ooh, I forgot about the hose. In that case mine is less than 100 ft from the house. Still can't hear them when I'm sleeping though. :thumbsup
