Okay, here we go!! I set these 42 eggs Friday night. 15 Rhodebar eggs, 11 Maran, 6 OE/ Maran, 4 Crested Cream Legbars, and 6 Welsummer/ CCL.

The girls are really starting to produce, so I guess I will have to set these 42 eggs tonight.
I only have incubator space for 84, so if anyone would like some fertile hatching eggs, let me know.

These next roosters are looking for a new home, so if anyone is interested...

This CCL cockerel has a little frostbite on his comb, but he is a beauty. He was hatched in the summer of 2014.

This guy is a cross between an EE and a Wheaten Maran rooster. He was also hatched last summer.

This Rhodebar cockerel is the same age as the previous 2. I have 4 roosters free ranging, and judging from the dried blood on this guys comb they are starting to scrap a little.

This is Zaxby, he's also the rooster that is pictured in my avatar. This big dude is 2 years old, and I really hate to see him go, but I am no longer using him as a breeder and I need to thin the flock. He is still young and could make an excellent breeder for someone.

I just got the best incubator ever, the one that solves all humidity problems. Any guesses as to what kind it is? Anyone? Oh okay...broody BO She is my momma from last year that does excellent brooding and doesn't mind me messing with her or chicks. She's the momma of the other BO pullets so I hope she passed on the broody trait. 16 BO eggs plus an OEGB Crele egg laid today will be reduced by 2 BO eggs in the morning when she eats. I just moved her to the broody apartment today and 2 of the eggs were uncovered on the outside. If I leave them she'll rotate them out thus delaying and affecting 4 or more. Yay for good mommas! I hope everyone gets at least one broody just to be able to experience it.

We have 2 broody silkies right now. One black and one white. The white one just sits there when you pet her. The black one pecks when you first reach in but then settles down and enjoys a good head scratch. Both are so soft.... Almost silky if you will.
