YO GEORGIANS! :)

So what is wrong with me?! I can't even go to the store without thinking EVERYTHING would make a good chicken brooder, tractor, or carrier!

Would make a great brooder on wheels with some modifying!

Just think of the possibilities! Cut a little hole in the bottom, put on a roof, modify the bottom and put a ramp in and wire all about to the ground and you have a great tractor!

Put boards across the front and back to hold in the wood chips, replace the glass with screening and add a light!

Maybe my DH was right, and I do have something wrong with me!

So I just did my first 7day candle on the eggs in the incubator.... and I can't be sure but I think I saw vessels in one or two and I THINK I saw motion in one of them! It was really hard to tell if my eyes were playing tricks on me or not, but there was a darkish spot that seemed to be kind of... pulsing slightly? The air cells did look very small though, so I'm turning the humidity down. I have no clue what I'm doing, but I hope they hatch! :fl

Sorry I haven't been on much, work has been kicking my butt lately! Combo new position plus a big boss is coming to visit next week equals stress overload.

So to catch up:
The coop looks AMAZING Katie! How much would you charge to come over and build me one? :D

Such cute babies Flower, Cliff, Robot and Gam! I can't wait to see more of them! Flower, the chicks I got from you/Rocky look great so far! The Olive Egger is getting such lovely coloring! Almost fiery looking! I'll have to post a picture soon.

Last but definitely not.least, welcome to all the newbies I missed while I was offline this week! Hope the forum is treating you well!

First time candlers may want to wait until day 10. Just easier to actually see veins. But, if the overall look of the egg is dark, it is a good thing at this stage. If you see clear at day 10 or a blood ring, they are not good. A blood ring is just a red ring around the inside of the egg when you candle it. You tube has videos of what you should expect to see at all days of candling them. Good luck!
