YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well, of the Lavender Ameraucana eggs in the bator, only 4 have hatched so far. Not even a pip coming from the other 4. Also hatched a Silkie mix and a Swedish Flower that I had thrown in there at the last minute. This is the last group of eggs that spent so much time in the new bator with the messed up thermometer/hygrometer. (The eggs ended up having really small air cells at the end) Hopefully, all the other eggs will now hatch better! One of the babies: Still a little damp
So Adorable!

This has definitely been one of those "I need a drink" kind of weeks.  But since I prefer not to drink out of need I've been just not a happy girl this week.  Final count is more like 25 ducklings, the only female gosling left (and she had imprinted on me), and then taking Frankie to be put to sleep and burying him.

(And now I have scenes from Airplane running through my head ... "I picked a bad week to quit ______")
I'm so sorry GAM.. Hugs to you. I, personally, have no problem retreating to the "blue mountains" when I've had a bad day. ;) But like you, a lush I certainly am not either.

FLOWER. Beautiful babies!! Any more? I got eight out of nine. Here are a couple.

Oh! And. I was in the baby coop earlier.. Were my two brahmas died earlier this week? There were some yunguns perched WAY up on the ledge of the enclosed area (open air for ventilation so there's a ledge).. I didn't think much of it except, I didn't think they could get up there.

Anyway. Was walking out when, WHAM!! One had jumped down the long way and slammed into the wire. It was ok but landed in the exact spot where the two dead brahmas were lying.

Hmmmmm. Aha moment? Maybe.

No, only got the 4. These eggs were part of the batch that were in the new bator that had a messed up thermometer/hygrometer. But, looks like I got some of each sex. So, I will keep a male and as many females as I have. Your LO are beautiful, too. I imagine you are loving your new cabinet incubator as it is giving you great hatches!
