I got the peck no more at Hollands feed store over here, but they have it at TSC as well.
I did a search through the ordinances section of the Polk County website and there was nothing listed about chickens. Dogs, cats even ferrets, but nothing about chickens.
as for 'commercially' I think it would be more about how often you do it, as in are you set up as a business TO sell them, on a regular basis. Again, unless someone turned you in I have no idea how they'd ever know as long as you don't put up a sign. This is why I haven't put a sign up for eggs.
Something similar, for a few years I flipped campers, buy -- fix up -- sell for profit. When I first started doing it, I would go through the title process of having it changed to my name. I did 3 in just a couple months, and the lady at the tag office told me if I did 5 within any 12 month period, I would be considered a dealer and have to be set up in business.. .not chickens but the point is, this state can come off the wall completely on how they define 'commercial' or 'in business'
