I know that $350 is a large chuck of money, but CoopNMore has medium-sized pluckers on sale right now. CnM carries lots of processing equipment and the ribbed rubber fingers if you want to build your own plucker. We have made several orders through CnM and recently bought about a dozen of their small hanging feeders for our brooders. They were $2.90 apiece - money well spent. Anyway, CnM's prices are good; shipping is quick; and, they're on the ball. After you receive your first order, I believe they include a 10% discount code for your next order. Here's a link to their Monthly Specials webpage: http://www.coopsnmore.com/category_s/1814.htmI don't remember if I asked before, but the time has come. Anyone know where I can rent or borrow a chicken plucker near Macon/warner robins?
Someone we know has to have one. If you do it, please let me know. I'd like to learn.Thanks. I appreciate it.
I looked at it last year after the fact. I had one batch of quail that was set on a prime date. The hatchlings were healthier and grew bigger than the others. I'm trying to time hatches and rabbit breeding this year to the calendar but no results to compare with as of yet.pertinent to our interests?

I will let you know how my July hatch goes. I am setting it accordingly. Was actually noticing prime date was 6/3 and I set mine 6/2. I've just entered the world of crazy spreadsheet & note keeping, so this is just another stat to track.I looked at it last year after the fact. I had one batch of quail that was set on a prime date. I finally have mine back. You know how it goes when you loan stuff to friends. Geesh.Someone we know has to have one. If you do it, please let me know. I'd like to learn.
I use the Bellsouth Hatchabatch app. It's a poultry supplier not the phone company. You enter your hatch details and it reminds you of key dates. It links to your calendar. It doesn't do numbers and percentages but it does a great job of dates and reminders.I will let you know how my July hatch goes. I am setting it accordingly. I built a Whizbang plucker a few years ago and it works great. And last year I built an electric scalder big enough to fit the turkeys in.
Y'all want to have plucking party?
