I will come and brings drinks. Put me down for Tea, Lemonade & some waters. Have to be in the real world and work today.

If anyone is interested in a White Crested Blue Polish 8 week old boy, I have 2. I also have an 8 week old Splash Polish Boy. Let me know and I'll bring them. :)
WTGO! Please be sure to bring your new merchandise. As I said earlier, Lisa wants me to buy her a tote. Bring Ava and Marshall too! See you there!

C'mon y'all! We need more of y'all to come to the picnic. Newbies are welcome too!

Becky? John? Jack? Chaz? Ron? Olivia? GAM? Robo? Sable? AfroChicken? I know the picnic idea was last minute, but it sure would be great if some of you could make it.

I have six racks of ribs and a butt in the smoker right now - good Georgia-style Q, and @Mylied will have some of her own birds on the BBQ as well as her now infamous potato salad, the same kind that she made for the last picnic. It should be fun! Please come on out if you can! Even if you cannot bring anything, bring yourselves! Let's make this happen!
Sorry. No can do.
I'm camp counselor this weekend for a bunch of turkeys.:wee

@brucifer My friend Naomi is going to come by. She has an educational farm type deal that is pretty neat. Mostly fruits and veggies, but she does have chickens. All my other chicken friends are busy. I picked up paper products because I can always use whatever is left to avoid doing dishes. ;-)

@sue25 I can't take in anymore chickens myself, but I'm super curious as to what a silkie brahma mix looks like. Do you have a pic? Do they end up being regular size instead of small or extra large?

Mine are all bantums they turn out beautiful. I do have a layer flock though. This was my first.year for my own chicks. I will be creating a place for the roos that I keep. If I can't rehome some of them they will end up on the grill once I figure out how to do it. I have posted pics of them but here are a couple now that they are older.

They are really pretty. I just remember seeing pics of monster brahmas and was wondering how they'd end up mixed with silkies.

Totally random thought here, but I still have all my set up for butchering chickens outside and four roosters left that were supposed to be processed but I lost energy doing. I'd be happy to do a demonstration for the couple of you who wanted to know how to do it. Or someone who's better at it than me can do it. I got the auto plucker and everything. And it's off to the side of the house so no one who doesn't want to see it can see it. I don't know if that's too macabre for a picnic. Lol. It didn't bother me too much and I don't eat meat. But I am in vet tech school so had to dissect a cat. Not to mention all the gross farm stuff I've had to do. I don't mind one way or another. I was just going to throw the last four roosters back in the pen until I decided what I wanted to do with them.

Still time for those of you who want to attend the BYC picnic tomorrow! If you don't attend, this is what you'll be missing:

Cut the pork butt in half to speed cooking. Besides, I like a lot of bark in pulled pork.

Beautiful color, and I haven't even hit them with my homemade BBQ sauce yet!

I've got six slabs of these in the smoker. Come to the picnic and get your share!
