At the moment, 7 but I may have to give some away boo. I have a dilemma cuz I got my henhouse before I got my peeps. From what I was hearing, there's a 50% chance you get a hen when you get straight run chicks so I figured it made sense to get 8 in order to end up with 3 or 4 hens. Hmmmm......so I got 8 and one didn't make it past a week so now have 7 .....but no roostery signs of any kind!!!! So my henhouse isn't big enough to keep all 7 of these beauties....and they ARE gorgeous! We have 3 buff orpingtons, 2 lavender English orpingtons and 2 really cute dominiquers. We're at almost 16 weeks and no crowing, no behaviors I expected but no eggs yet either. (sigh) I know I should be jumping for joy but you should see them all cramped up at night, it's pitiful.Welcome and what kind of birds do you have?

Do you have a picture? What luck if you got 7 pullets with straight run. I've had close to the opposite luck. 2 pullets and 13 cockerels once.At the moment, 7 but I may have to give some away boo. I have a red and black sex link as well, both hens, my red is deaf, or atleast partially, but is very nosy, but skittish since she cant hear well. my black looks just like yours but is fatter, now she is the sweetieView attachment 1085081 View attachment 1085082 View attachment 1085083 View attachment 1085084
Well we think our barred rock is a hen, but her tail feathers a little suspect. She is 5 months and her comb and waddles are small and pink. So fingers crossed it is a hen. Does anyone know about the sexlink? We have two a red and a black. The red as we call her is an Ostrich...has been big from the beginning...dwarfed all the chicks of the same age and no one messes with her. She has tiny pink waddles and comb, and hen tail feathers so we are pretty sure she is a hen, but she is a stinker. Nosy, talks all the time and follows us everywhere. Loves to be held. The black sexlink has a beautiful head and neck of a brownish gold and the rest of her is black but her tail feathers do not look like a hen is that normal? Ok so here you go hens or roosters?
