YO GEORGIANS! :)

So get this! I had a lady come with her daughter to pick up a dozen Isa Brown chicks three weeks ago. She loved my colored eggs, so she asked about hatching some of my mixes so she could get some colored egg layers. I gave her a dozen eggs. She did not have an incubator, but said she had made one once for her daughter's classroom, so she planned to make another one.
She just contacted me and said of the twelve eggs, two were not fertile, three hatched and all the other 7 are pipping! Her daughter hand turned them 3 times a day., She used a Styrofoam cooler. I am in the process of finding out how she provided the heat, humidity, etc. If they all hatch, that's fantastic!

Looks like I have one little Satin sizzle.

Well, I told you I had a friend wanted me to hatch some turkey eggs for her. The eggs have been in the incubator for 8 days now. I have candled them and I am not seeing any veins yet. Some of the eggs do look cloudy, So, I have only hatched turkey eggs once before and that was a while ago. Does it take longer to see veins? I know they take 28 days. So, Tabasco Jack, any advice? Are these infertile or does it just take longer to begin to see anything?

And now that Farmers Market is basically over, what do I do with all these eggs?

Hatch them of course! I have 3 broodies now sitting on 6 eggs each. I have another two broodies that I may give eggs to tomorrow. I mean, what is with these fall broodies?!
