YO GEORGIANS! :)

Yes, Tabasco Jack raises Quail. I think Brucifer was planning on raising them, too.

Welcome to the thread. It has been a little slow because of the Holidays, but hopefully it will pick up!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a safe and great new year as well. We finally have a car again. Thank goodness trying to get rides everywhere was becoming tedious. Most of my chickens are doing great but there are a couple of older ISA hens that seem to be thinning l don't expect them to make it through the winter. I have them separated because the roos seem to pound on them relentlessly. Most likely because they are growing week. It is sad because I know that they only live so long because of the way they are breed and used
When I first got them though I didn't know any better. Chickens were chickens I didn't know that some loved longer then others because of the way they were bred. I know so much more now. A lot of my knowledge came from this site I would read for hours. I also bought quite a few books and read them cover to cover.I m grateful for all of you on the Georgia State thread. Thanks for being there.

Yes, I read that about them, also. I always hate losing an animal. That same thing is true about lots of those sex link type of chickens. Lay and lay lots of eggs, and then die early.

How much are they selling for?
They are just mixes, so $3 each. I should raise my price since everyone else is selling their chicks for $5. Plus, mine come from my great colored eggs!

Oh, wait.....were you talking about chicks or hatching eggs? Right now I am selling hatching eggs for $10 for the first dozen and $5 for each additional dozen. But, I am thinking of going up.
