Hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a safe and great new year as well. We finally have a car again. Thank goodness trying to get rides everywhere was becoming tedious. Most of my chickens are doing great but there are a couple of older ISA hens that seem to be thinning l don't expect them to make it through the winter. I have them separated because the roos seem to pound on them relentlessly. Most likely because they are growing week. It is sad because I know that they only live so long because of the way they are breed and used
When I first got them though I didn't know any better. Chickens were chickens I didn't know that some loved longer then others because of thIe way they were bred. I know so much more now. A lot of my knowledge came from this site I would read for hours. I also bought quite a few books and read them cover to cover.I m grateful for all of you on the Georgia State thread. Thanks for being there.
