Last night was an important night here at Pampered Poultry in South GA. We had our first English Choc Orpington Bantam to hatch! We hope to fill our first back order near the end of this month! The wait is almost over.......

We made it!!! Everything that could go wrong with moving did and it took forever to get here, twice as long actually, everyone made it safe! The chickens are adjusting to their new home!
 
WTH is wrong with people?? A close friend sent me a message on Oct.6

"I had to take a quick trip to Savannah this morning. At a truck stop, someone had dumped about 25 roosters in the parking lot. I felt so bad for them! There were a ton of different breeds too including EEs and Barred Rocks. There were also THE cutest little bantam roosters. They were about the size of my kids head! I tried to catch one but they were quick little suckers and myhusband didn't want to try to haul them home. It was so sad seeing all of them out there though. Two cats were also dropped off but they were scared of people too."

I hope someone was able to save them..
ugh people make me so mad! it's bad enough when people dump dogs and cats but roosters??

That is terrible!!! Heck if I would have seen them on my way down here, I could have loaded them up! I already had cages of chickens. A few more would not have made a difference!! LOL​

Just a reminder about our swap meet/gathering in Augusta on November, 5th. Let me know soon if you plan on coming. Tractor Supply has tables, but needs an estimate. I can have Lunch available for those who want it ($5-$6 per person). Also, let us know what you have to sell/trade/buy.
