I had all my yoga on a DVR it was Steve Ross, and my DVR died and I lost all my programs. Steve Ross was no longer on TV, so I started recording other routines. I came across one from a local college that I love even more then the original one I was doing, so I guess my DVR is forgiven.

Awesomeness! When a door closes, a window opens!

I didn't make it to class last night, hubby didn't get home until after class started. So DD & I are getting our mats out today to do some of our yoga at home. I can't believe how into it she is!

do you have a dvd you work from or do you just do your own thing? If dvd, which are good?

I actually just do my own thing... like I know have to work on opening my hips... and anything that helps my lower back from all the heavy lifting I do.

I also suggest getting a beginners video so you can easily figure out the posses and what they're called. Just to get a feel. I personally prefer a group class over at home. I have a wonderful trainer who fixes me when my posse is wrong, and she is so super sweet as to give me an extra PUSH when I need that extra stretch. I'm hoping in the next year to get back to head stands and back bends... I'm too tight to manage it right now

I did yoga when I was pregnant to help with the horrible sciatica and back pain. It's amazing how wonderful it is and how well it works! Pilates works really well for that as well (which is what I am doing right now). I've also done a few Tai Chi classes, it looks so simple but it can be pretty intense.

There are a couple of yoga videos on Netflix if you can stream that to your TV.

I do all mine at home, w/ a recorded tv show, the current one is a local college station, but would LOVE to take a class locally, but rural Oklahoma and me not being a morning person makes that impossible. (and a very screwball schedule). If your TV has a search on it you may be able to find one on TV that you like.

I was just introduced to "the crow" this week, and OMG!!!

I thought the happy cow was bad. The names seem so innocent, crow, pigeon, happy cow etc..... it is to lull you into a false sense of security.

Oh yeah, I still fall over doing the crow. I finally got my arms strong enough to hold me up.... but my balance needs LOTS of work!

Last week, I did a head stand, and was so proud to hold that for so long. I haven't been able to do that in years!

Yea, "balance" I used to think I had good balance, I can stand on one foot, or walk on a board or line one foot in front of the other. I never imagined "balance" meaning supporting all your body weight, while contorted on one arm!!!!!! lol lol lol I'm getting better, but I have a long way to go in all areas, strength, flexibility, and balance. But when I get some of these more exotic hard poses down, I'm having my husband take pics and I'm posting them as a trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
