Aw! This is what good roosters are supposed to do! Pick out nice nesting sites for the girls. Many hens won't listen, but some do. My little bantam roosters would go around to different nesting sites in the coop, with one of the lucky hens, and she would inspect each one.

My last rooster, poor guy, fed them, showed them fresh grass, shared all his meals, kept the peace, but when it came to nesting, no one would listen to the poor guy! I wish they did, he at least picked the actual nesting boxes.
