You have to see this: $3k Anthropologie coop

Wow...just wow. As a Californian I have no doubt there are a few who would be interested in these "high end" coops. Then they could brag to their friends about how delicious their free range eggs are. And at only $500 per egg ... Well you just can't put a price on your health. FACEPALM

Another saying comes to mind.."There is a behind for every seat."

LOL!!!

SMH... Unbelievable! These coops are ridiculous. However, my mother seems to think that me owning chickens is "ok" now that she knows that William Sonoma sells chicken coops.

I literally laughed out loud! Uhmmm my husband could make that from scrap lumber for under 200.00 plus it would be predator proof and would keep toddlers safe and sound. Off to check the Neiman's one...is it gold plated???

However, your husband is too good a carpenter- he'd make things square and straight, and that doesn't give the special rustic look required for a $3k coop. It has to be twisted, crooked, and misaligned to have that special "character", that je ne sais quoi*, that will justify the price.
