You know you're a backyard chicken owner when...

We had "mud rooms" in the 3 houses in the country. I don't have one here in the city. The only way in from my backyard is through my single car garage and dining room. Too cold out there in the winter to leave boots or jackets also the mice get in there. UGG mice in boots, no no. I guess I could go down the back stairs from the garage to the basement into the laundry room and leave things there, it's not handy so don't do that.

My house has a vestibule, not exactly a mud room but it helps to keep the dirt to a controlled area.
