If you've ever had to explain that you're leaving the BBQ early because you might need to kill that possum that's been threatening your coop, you might be a birdneck

If you use a rooster alarm clock to train yourself to wake up to the roosters. (no comment)

If you use an australian shepard to herd your geese and ducks. (wasn't me Promise)

You might be a birdneck if.....

You drag a leaf/grass collector behind your tractors mower deck just so you can collect ALL the grass and put it in ALL the coops.... (Yes, yes, we do it..... it's really quite funny to watch... much like an rv towing a car towing a boat... lol)

You have to tip toe out the door in the morning because your ducks go nuts until you feed them and change the water in their pool...( clyde is the most spoiled duck you have ever ever seen)

You purposely leave half the tasty red part of the watermelon so you can give it to your chickens and ducks first thing in the morning....(I do it all the time, we grow melons every year and even when i buy them from the store I leave it for the birdies, our ducks eat ALL of it...except the green part)

You spend more time building coops and brooder trailers than you do cleaning your house.... (more birds=more coops/pens)

You twiddle your thumbs at work all day so you can go home to check the bator...(I do lol. it's sad)

You call your husband/grandfather/roommate every hour to check the incubator while you are at work...(It was my first time with a bator, usually use broodies in which case I go stir crazy waiting for little cheeps and heads to pop out from under the hens lol)

You tell everyone you talk to at work about your babies in the brooder.....(I work at a hotel, I cant help myself)

You spend more of your paycheck on your birds than you do on anything else....(do i need another waterer? not yet, but i will. do they need more treats? Not really but what the heck?)

You name all your chickens after your favorite book/television characters....(Alcide, LongShadow, Sookie, Chow, Northman, Amelia, Arlene can you name the show???? or the books???)
