Young Barred Rock Bloody And Poopy Vent Issue - Urgent

It's good that it went back in, even for a short period of time.
That can happen.

When you can, get some clearer photos, it's really hard to tell a lot by what you posted.

Really work on giving her a good soaking in a warm epsom salts bath, after she's been soaking for a little while, gently take a cloth and clean the scabby and crusty areas well.
Slather on your oils/ointments afterwards.

See how it goes. She's not given up, so you hang right in there with her. :hugs
Thanks. I usually soak her for ten minutes without epsom salts. How long do you think I should do it for? Honestly I think it might be better to go for fifteen or more.
Also, using a cloth makes me nervous I'll hurt that weird long and skinny ending she has. Should I avoid that part of the tissue and stick to the thicker parts? Or dab it?

15 minutes sounds good.

Use your judgement on what to use the cloth on. It's very hard to see what's going on in the photos.

Is the long skinny thing tissue or is it a shell membrane?
The long skinny thing is tissue, I assume due to its color and location. It seems attached, though I'm afraid to pull on it.

Gave her an epsom salt soak for a bit more than fifteen minutes, dabbed and scrubbed her tissue with a cloth, rubbed in some oil, soaked a couple minutes more, and then dabbed and rubbed again. It got a lot of gunk off of her, but there's still a thin layer of poop. The photos were taken with help, and the flashlight used in some of them is orange, discoloring them. One of the pictures uses natural lighting and therefore correct colors, but it shows less area. I used a q-tip to hold up the long and skinny end of her tissue. It seems twisted, which is probably really bad since it is part of her internal organs system. Or maybe it naturally twists, I don't know too much biology. I applied ointment after taking the photos. I will push in her tissue later today.
As a side note, I have been using chewable tablet calcium antacids for supplements as their active ingredient is calcium carbonate. Is that good? Its other ingredients are corn starch, crospovidone, dextrose, flavor magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sucrose, and talc. I realize that a crushed up pill meant for humans may not be ideal.

I managed to put her tissue in again for a third time. It was quick and easy, and I noticed that her vent's pulsating actually seemed to pull in the tissue which helped. That seems like a sign she is recovering physically. However, it again soon came out. When applying pressure after it goes in, do I apply it from the outside or internally? By that I mean do I push on her outside vent or do I keep applying pressure with inserted fingers? The internal way seems like it would work more, since the prolapsed tissue would be what the force was applied to.

You can apply slight pressure with inserted fingers, but you really want all that poop and scabbing off there before she draws in the tissue.

I know it seems like it won't ever come off, but keep working on it. Apply your coconut oil and see if that helps some of the crustyness come off.

Are you certain the long piece is tissue and not a membrane from an egg?

@Wyorp Rock , excuse me, but haven't you said in other places that calcium citrate tablets are preferred over calcium carbonate? And that he can just pop one right in the hen's beak, whole, and she will swallow it? On your advice I gave one of my hens a Tums tablet once, and it was hard to believe it would actually go down her throat, but it did, with no problem!

Yes, Calcium Citrate was recommended, but TUMS is what the OP was able to get, so you do with what you have.
Yes, a hen can swallow the tablet whole, but again, crushing the tablet is what the OP is most comfortable doing, so we go with it. :)

Not totally certain if the long piece is tissue. Is there some sort of test I could do or other way to determine it?
Also, would it be bad to use Dawn dish soap on the tissue? It works like a charm to get gunk off of chickens, but I have concerns over using it on internal tissue as I've only ever used it on their scales and sometimes vent feathers.
