Young hen won’t walk much.

A young hen I have sort of hops a bit when she want to get to feed but otherwise just stands using only her right leg. I don’t see any scabs at all. The only thing I have noticed is that the pad on her foot is quite hard where the pad on her right foot is soft and moveable. Any ideas on what’s going on and what I should do to help her?

Welcome to BYC. Can you get a picture of the top and bottom of her foot? Look for any swelling or redness/bruising of her leg or joints. Injuries are very common in chickens from jumping off roosts, and from horseplay. Make sure that she is close to food and water, and that may be accomplished easily if she is in a dog crate with food and water, in the coop near the flock. Vitamin B complex in her food or water may help.
