Young pullet with cut comb

My young barred rock, Zelda, has a torn comb it looks like she probably cut it half way lengthwise from a plant but I am not a hundred percent sure. I have cleaned the wound and kept her separate from the flock so they don't peck at it. Anyone have tips on how to care for a injured comb or what to do?

Can you post a photo?
You can apply some plain neosporin or vetericyn to the cut.
They generally heal fairly quickly, but keep an eye out for any signs of infection such as pus, odors,etc.

Thank You! I have applied vetrericyn and blu kote to the wound and it seems to be healing nicely. I took her to our vet and she said it was healing well.
