Costco hasn't had ANY brown rice in months. My local grocery hasn't had any in a long time, either.

Walmart nearby? The one in this area usually has it.

Didn't get to do my seeds today. My sister and I went to a craft show then did some shopping. We had a very nice time. I'll do my seeds tomorrow, supposed to be cold, snowy, and windy. Great day to dream about spring

2 more nights coming up the first of the week it is going to get border line frosty then the Tomato and eggplant can go in safely. Meantime I'm looking for some pepper plants. Don't need many. Some cayenne, poblano, and jalapeno. Maybe a couple of bells. Sweet potato plants will be here soon too.

I pulled out my tiny scissors and trimmed the extra seedlings out of the starter cells. One plant per cell is the limit. LOL

And I plugged the LED growlights into a timer so the seedlings get 18 hours of light per day: ON@6am, OFF@Midnight.

Starting to plan out the things I need to replace, lime and apple for sure. Upright Rosemary. All my Lavender varieties, total loss there. Pretty sure the CA Poppies too. Replant onions, potatoes and garlic.

Herbs… fennel, thyme, savory, oregano… I am hoping the lemon balm made it, haven’t seen it though… looks pretty flattened and lifeless

Has anyone ever grown the purple sweet potatoes? I'm tempted to order a few and some more whites for chip making. I just want to know if purple sweets are good or are just a novelty?

I also want to plant a variety of sweet potatoes this year and purples are on the list

I think I will order some purples with more white sweet potatoes today. I have the room for them

The tomato seeds started sprouting overnight, as did more of the brassicas. I trimmed out some extras and adjusted the height of the lighting over the seedlings.

My DIL pruned her black currant bush and saved several cuttings for me to plant. I'll be getting them this weekend when her, my son and the grandkids come down to visit.
