I believe bright green is male.
The green one showed up here this spring about one third of its current size.I believe bright green is male.
I feel sad when they get caught by snakes or cats or some other predator.
Try fermenting them with basil and garlic. A few cloves of garlic, and a few basil leaves can turn those tomatoes in a delicious treatI was hoping to dehydrate some cherry tomatoes. I picked all that were on one plant in the tomato garden. They are yellow, sweeeeeet! and the skin isn't too thick.
The 6 plants in the other garden? Watery, not very sweet, and the skin feels thicker when you bite it. Both places got Tomato-Tone and gypsum, and of the two, I would have thought the soil where the 6 plants are was better. But what do I know?
So I'm not going to bother dehydrating the small bowlful I got. It's too bad, because 3 of the 6 plants are LOADED!!!
I've an idea. Make friends with someone in a cooler climate. Problem solved.I need to figure out how to get rhubarb through the summer. It makes it through the winter, then dies.
