Your best broody hen is a ?????

My Mille Fleurs and Silkie go broody more often than anyone else, though for a while it seemed like the Barred Rocks were going to challenge that record.

The bantams make such good mothers. I've got a good mix of birds, and some are in their third season and haven't gone broody yet.

a silkie her first time this year just hatched out 2. last year my golden laced cochin and my wheaton ameracanu and my buff amerucanu all hatched out a batch.

The only hens in my flock that have gone broody are my Buff Orps. I have three of them at the moment.

I have to banty's in brood mode, a EE, and a black Sexlink! The nest are full, so hopefully they will hatch something between the 4 of them!
