We have (in the order they adopted us...):

Kahli (short for Kahlua) - 7 yo - medium-haired tortie cat that I adopted from a rescue league after I had to put my 21-yo cat to sleep.

Roxie - Long-haired German Shepherd mix - 6 yo - first pet my husband and I adopted together, from another rescue league.

Felix - 4 yo - domestic long-haired cat, we fed his feral mom and she brought him to our doorstep one night when it was sleeting/freezing rain. He hated to be touched when we first got him, but he's the biggest love-bug there is now. We call him our calendar cat!

Stub - 4 or 5 years old - he adopted us after having a family move out of the neighborhood and abandon him. He supposedly had his tail cut off with scissors by one of the first family's children. He let us nurse him back to health, and is our outside cat with his own heated condo (our work shed). He doesn't get along with a couple of our indoor cats but LOVES Roxie.

Smoke - aka "Little S**t" - 3 yo - found as a 4 or 5 week old kitten in a Lowe's parking lot. Abandoned, how could I resist? Now, a huge, longish-haired gray cat. Definitely "my" baby.

Tiny - almost 2 yo - dropped off on our street, and braved Roxie for food when she was only about 6 weeks old. Adopted by Stub, until we brought her into the house. She's the cat that never grew up. Coal black except for huge, round, orange eyes - she's only about 1/2 the size of a normal sized cat.

We also have half a dozen tropical fish, and are contemplating getting a couple of goats and a beef cow...!

Non-bird pets....

Ginger -- 10 year old red merle Australian Shepherd, with one and a half ice blue eyes. The other half of her left eye is brown, in case you were getting worried. She's basically my dog, as she and I were the perfect age for each other when we got her. We've been best buddies forever.

Riley -- 3 month old tri color Aussie, with both eyes gorgeous blue, and I swear he has an invisible curl right in the middle of his forhead!

Rascal (aka The Beast) -- 1 year old tuxedo cat who has severe mood swings... And he's a boy too....

Mittens -- Grayish green and black tiger cat. No idea how old she is; we found her as a stray when I was either 5 or 6. But she's old, and loves to snuggle with me. She's mine.

I suppose the cow technically doesn't count, but she kind of is a pet... Anyway, Daisy is a 5 year old Jersey. Her calf Hamilton is also a pet... but at the same time he's dinner. He's such a sweetheart though.

Past pets (in my lifetime) have included Honey (GSD/Lab mix), Daisy (Lab/Husky mix), and Muffy (tortoise shell cat).

Muffy was mine too..... We got her from the pound. She had one eye that at the time had not been cared for, so my parents kind of tried to avoid her. But she was meant for us and she knew it. She would not stop following us. She was probably around 18 years old when we had to put her down.

I am very happily down to as few as I've been in a very long time.
