My chick that's about 6 weeks old still has an irritated looking eye. She and her 6 other coop mates have been treated for the past 10 days with SMZ for a mild respiratory illness by a vet(she didn't diagnose which one) that they were brought home with a few weeks ago. Her eye hasn't gotten worse, but doesn't really look better either. I've been spraying it with Vetericyn daily. All runny noses seem to have cleared up, but I still hear an occasional sneeze.
They are done with anti-biotics. Should I continue them? Is it possible that this just might be what her eye looks like? And that chickens sneeze sometimes. They are not free ranging at all right now bc I don't want them infecting the others. I always feel that improves their health a lot, getting the fresh air. I might be paranoid, the eye may not have been noticed but I was looking for it bc I have a lot of other birds at risk.
I took a pic of each eye for comparison.
Thanks for your help!
