To determine the ratio of prices to partcipants it could be helpful to have members sign up for the next contest. That way you know how many entries there will be.
We also didn't have a full weekend during this contest yet, so I'm sure there will be many more meals cooked in the remaining 4 weeks.
I think the current voting system (likes) works well. To improve it you could weekly post all links to the different meals that entered the contest so far.

Some mighty fine entries so far. A long ways to go. Plenty of time for folks just stumbling upon this competition and more time for a second entry for everyone who posted. Deadline is Feb 15th.
Just as long as you create an Italian themed dish,
3 preparation photos minimum.
3 presentation photos minimum.
1 photo has chicken related prop/toy/figurine etc.
All the details are at the beginning of this thread for the new peeps to read.
