Nope your all good leave it alone...thats a good temp...trust me when I say love that bator that holds a steady great temp than one thats constantly changing on you... :)

I know..I know... you told me not to candle yet. But.... I would like to understand what I am seeing. If the "yolk" is still floating around when I move the egg, is that bad? Some of them are stationary, they do not move when I turn the egg.

And the air cell is not "bright" anymore.

The two silkie eggs definately have veins!!!! Yeah Yeah Yeah!!

Any thoughts? How would you describe what you usually see at this point?

what you see veins already! SMACK get away from that bator howmany days is it??? Depending on what day like 5-7 you would see a prominent black dot with legs extentions like a spider and head. pretty cool huh? Now stop it and wait a little longer..I woke up this am to 93 degrees on day 19! stupid bator -now Im ticked-Im always [retty cool at this point but to wake up and see that temp I was floored! It has never done that only spikes~

Yes I CAN see veins for sure in the two silkies and one of my eggs. The rest I am just not sure. What does a blood ring look like? Is it a vein that goes all the way around in a circle around the egg?

Hi there Nat.

Do we know why they stop pumping, they die and the blood ring occurs? Did I do something?

We never really know why-There are specualtions of sorts. Shipping...dirty eggs.. etc.. There are so mnay reasons to what people think..Personally I dont guess I just get sad for a few m inutes and pull eggs at day 10..I never pull a "blood ring" out earlier than that because sometimes the viening can look like a blood ring early on-I did have 2 blood ringers in this hatch which I did not pull out until day 10 but I also had one I "though" was a blood ringer but when I candeled on day 10 it was a baby with a big fat vein across teh middle:) so you never know..

Update Day 6 candling...

wow great results so far huh? my cochin egg is clear huh? Ive sent out a few more to others to test too and I have 4 going in my bator SAT. I waas afraid they might be clear because The roo all though massive and strong-hes such a shy boy and I personally havent seen him mate the girls-excpet when he was in the breeder pen:-( bummer-thats going to hold things back a little if hes still not doing his job-thats why I havent sold his eggs as fertile yet-I knew those silkies and EE eggs would be though-those boys LOVE thier girls
