Zoning for pigeons?

Do you need any permission to have a pigeon loft? Can your town ban it? I have a nice wooden shed that would make a great loft.

Yes, some towns can ban it, depends with each city. Also some cities can require you to have a permit.

It all depends on your neighbors,back when i was a teen i had racing homers,had them for years then the neighbor moved and a new guy moved in.Well he must have been picked on by pigeons in a former life not real sure.Well he hated my pigeons,went as far as to get elected to the town board just to pass an ordinance to ban keeping pigeons,he wasn't real bright because the ordinance ban all fowl in the town limits,what he didn't realize is pigeons aren't fowl.He put up a valiant fight but lost,i had lawyers from the APRU,NPA and a few others put him in his place,even filed a lawsuit for harrassment.
I would check your town ordinances,if there is no specific mention of pigeons you are probably going to be ok,but there are towns that recently are banning pigeons specifically.
