Yes I used the heritage RIR to improve type and color. Mine are not from Greenfire. Not to be not nice but Greenfire didn't do them justice. The Rhodebars are still being improved. So far this flock has done well and I am very happy with them. But due still having too many kids...a total of...
yes and no. The RIR are brick red and the Rooster does not have black on his breast. They are huge and sweet. I can split the flock. It needed. They are last year hatch and the year before. Mostly last year hatch.

HI. I have had Rhodebars for over a year. I have three heritage RIR hens from a nice breeder here in NY. I need to get pics, but I am not sure if I need to keep a cockeral that is RIR?Rhodebar? Or is it just the pullets I breed back to the a Rhodebar. Thanks for your help in advance.

It isn't hard to do NPIP...just a little time! I wanted to post here first I am selling my lavender flock...and a pair of Basque hens..the basque do have yellow legs and coloring is correct then lavender are beautiful! pics to come when I can figure out how to do it!
