The geese were free ranging and I went out to find that something had gotten my largest buff goose. And it was the one I was planning on showing next month :( we think it was a coyote or a fox. They are pretty brave around here.

I ended up with 5 out of 9. So not too bad. But three died for some reason...the other two are perfectly healthy. But the three that died were just fine and then five minutes later they'd be dead. :(

There's four now! I will have to get pictures later. A lot more are pipping so I dont want to shrink wrap them.

The eggs are hatching! There's three so far! These are my first Icelandics that I've hatched. I cant wait to see what colours they grow up to be!

So sorry!! I have a problem. I have some eggs in the incubator and I forgot the start date. They should be hatching soon but we dont know when to take the turner out.. any ideas as how to tell?
