Just got another batch of chicks! 4 Buckeyes and 1 meal maker she told me it was a jersey giant. They are the sweetest little things too! Have to take some better pics later

I recently had a first time doe that lost all of her kits. She dried up on her own. I kept checking her and rubbing her belly to make sure for infection but none happened. I would just keep an eye on her she should dry up fine.

Oh I envy you! It was -15 this morning but the girls are still doing great. It is supposed to be even colder on Thursday night. Definitely not looking forward to that! I want to just :smack this winter away! Come on spring! Lol

Adorable! :love they look fat and happy :D I would clean out most I know that the kits eat moms poo because it gives them the microbes and whatnot for good digestion (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong). Your doing a phenomenal job though!

Yay! So sorry for the single loss. My one doe only ever has 3 or 4 kits every time. Hopefully yours has a bigger one next time :fl. It is always exciting to have new babies!

I don't know about that I have always had more than one doe kindle at the same time so I guess they always smell others on me lol. I would look at the mommy first and see if she does the same thing. I also have a buck that kind of shys away but has been getting better! My other buck is a little...

Oh I know my one doe pulls fur right before she kindles. one takes EVERYTHING out of the nest box and puts it back in with fur pulling usually 2 days before kindling. my first time mommy just 3 weeks ago pulled the day before. They are a mystery! and yes keep us posted! praying for little ones!
